Threaded rods DIN 976-1 - 10.9

Very similar to the previous class 8.8 in refined condition. Suitable for joints subjected to high loads, recommended for friction joints with controlled tightening. It achieves a higher tensile strength (over 1000MPa), which may have certain limitations in connection with the risk of hydrogen embrittlement. This strength class has limited options for galvanic galvanizing, there is a need to take measures in the form of dewatering of the components (a more complex process that entails a higher price). A special application (GEOMET®, DACROMET®, etc.) is often recommended for surface treatment, where length restrictions apply for custom production (usually up to 800mm). Guarantee of notch toughness min. 27J at -20°C. Made of carbon or alloy steel, hardened and tempered.
